s part of his visit to New York and
Washington, where he attended the offi-
cial celebration for Greek Independence
Day that was held at the White House on March
25th, in the presence of US President Donald
Trump, Mr. Michalos had the opportunity to meet
with Greek-American businesspeople, as well as
officials from the new US administration.
Mr. Michalos pointed out to them that Greece is a
country that presents great opportunities for
investment in key indus-
tries, such as tourism, ener-
gy, manufacturing, food,
education, and health care,
while it has also started to
implement major reforms
that, if sustained and com-
pleted, will substantially
improve the ease of doing
business.
As stated by Mr. Michalos,
the US officials listened to the Greek calls for
investment with great interest and expressed their
positive views for Greece, stressing that the US
has always shown great interest in the economic
and business prospects of the country.
In New York, Mr. Michalos met with Greek-
American entrepreneurs, whom he invited to
Greece in order to visit the local Chambers of
Commerce and Industry, and get closely
acquainted with the region, as well as the invest-
ment opportunities and the possibilities for part-
nerships with Greek enterprises.

when the country is striving to conclude the evaluation of the
