prises; and
• securing energy supplies, differentiating the
energy mix, and further increasing the share of
RES.
In this context, Mr. Stathakis said that the agree-
ment between LAGIE and the Hellenic
Exchanges Group for the creation of an Energy
Exchange, which will provide “a new impetus to
the energy market” and is expected to launch
operations in mid-2018, is “very important”.
Moreover, Mr. Filippou stated his belief that the
partnership between that LAGIE and the Hellenic
Exchanges Group will be productive. The actual
aim of this partnership is, as Mr. Filippou said, to
organise the new electricity markets in a manner
that ensures transaction security, liquidity for the
