Zante Star was ranked 22nd in the list of the top
25 bargain hotels in the world. In the correspon-
ding list for Europe, Zante Star captured the 14th
place, while Chez Sophie Rooms and Suites
(Santorini) came 20th; Lithos by Spyros and Flora
came 21st and Antonia Hotel Santorini (Santorini)
came 24th. In the lists of the top 25 B&Bs and Inns
in the world and in Europe, Aenaon Villas
(Santorini) was ranked 21st and 16th respectively.
In the list of the top 25 hotels for service in
Europe, Astra Suites was ranked 10th, followed
by Papaevangelou Hotel (Papigko, Ioannina) in
the 20th place and Enigma Apartments & Suites
in the 24th. Moreover, Lindos Blu was ranked
24th among the top 25 hotels in Europe and 17th
among Europe’s top 25 luxury hotels.
The 10 top-ranking hotels from the list of the top
25 hotels in Greece are Lindos Blu (Rhodes),
Sani Asterias Suites (Chalkidiki), Sani Beach
Hotel (Chalkidiki), Trapezaki Bay Hotel
(Kefalonia), Canaves Oia Hotel (Santorini),
Ammos (Chania), Mykonian Villa Collection
(Myconos), Porto Sani Village (Chalkidiki), Elite
Suites by Amathus Beach (Rhodes) and Lindos
Mare Hotel (Rhodes).
Astra Suites was ranked 1st in both the lists of top
25 small hotels and best service hotels in Greece.
The number 1 hotel in the list of top 25 luxury
hotels in Greece was Lindos Blu, while the num-
ber 1 bargain hotel was Zante Star, the top B&B
and Inn was Aenaon Villas, the top family hotel
was Sani Beach Hotel and the number 1 romance
hotel in Greece was Anastasis Apartments.
It should also be mentioned that, as far as the
new government’s attitude towards Greek hotels
offering all-inclusive services is concerned, the
Deputy Minister for Tourism Elena Koundoura
publicly stated that “No action will be taken
against all-inclusive products. On the contrary, a
further quality improvement of all inclusive prod-
ucts will enhance the diffusion of the benefits of
