          586,281). Even though full-time employment
        
        
          contracts accounted for 79% of the total in the

          part-time labour contracts increased by
        
        
          45.17% (from 157,738 to 228,994) and short-
        
        
          work contracts increased by 49.86% (from
        
        
          40,489 to 60,677). Thus, “flexible” contracts
        
        
          now account for 33% of the total, as compared

          industry-wide agreements, as well as enterprise-

          still, will be replaced by individual employment

          In fact, as a result of the crisis and the deep
        
        
          recession in which the Greek economy has sunk,
        
        
          new hires of part-time and short-time employees
        
        
          increased by record-rates of 45.17% and 49.86%
        
        
          respectively in just one year.
        
        
          The gradual substitution of flexible forms of
        
        
          labour for full employment is illustrated in the
        
        
          labour contract data submitted by businesses to
        
        
          the Labour Inspectorate of the Ministry of Labour
        
        
          and Social Security during 2010. The data show
