In the third quarter of 2010 the unemployment rate stood at 12.4%, as compared to 11.8% in the previous quarter and 9.3%
in the same quarter of 2009. Employment fell by 0.5% as compared to the previous quarter and 3% year-on-year.
Unemployment increased by 4.7% as compared to the previous quarter and 33.7% year-on-year. In October 2010 the unem-
ployment rate rose to 13.5% from 9.8% in October 2009 and 12.6% in September 2010.
