prisingly well:
The achievements

The Budget: “This year we generated a primary
surplus, one year earlier than the official target,”
government officials claim whenever given the
opportunity, adding that “the 2014 budget that
was tabled in Parliament by the Ministry of
Finance and will be executed by the entire gov-
ernment, retains as a fixed and non-negotiable
target the achievement of a surplus of almost
1.5% of GDP”.

ith the threat of a fiscal gap still loom-
ing above the skies of Attica, Athens
has a prime opportunity to promote its
interests in respect to its number one problem,
the sustainability of its public debt.
The government has launched an effort –since
the end of 2013– to promote its achievements,
claiming that the country is adapting and laying
the foundations for a new growth model, one
characterized by more extroversion and less
dependence from the state.
