It should be noted that only one of the aforemen-
tioned offshore LNG Storage and Re-gasification
Unit projects (ii and iii) will be finally realized.
iv) Permanent reverse flow station at the
Greek-Bulgarian border between Kula
(Bulgaria) and Sidirokastro (Greece).
v) Storage facility in S. Kavala. It should be
noted that the cluster in which this project
belongs to includes three more projects, dis-
tributed in Bulgaria (2 projects) and Romania
(1 project), and one or more of these projects
will be realized.
3. Southern Gas Corridor (SGC).
i) TAP pipeline.
ii) ITGI pipeline.
Twelve Greek Projects of
European Interest
A few months ago, the EU announced the proj-
ects of common European interest. These include
12 Greek energy projects. These are:
1. Priority corridors concerning electricity
NSI East Electricity (North-South electricity inter-
connections in Central Eastern and South
Eastern Europe)
i) Israel-Cyprus-Greece interconnection,
between Hadera (Israel) and Attica (Greece),
also known as the Euro Asia Interconnector.
ii) Interconnection between Maritsa East 1
(Bulgaria) and Nea Santa (Greece).
iii) A hydro-pumped storage plant at
Amphilochia.
2. Priority corridors concerning gas
NSI East Gas (North-South gas interconnections
in Central Eastern and South Eastern Europe)
i) IGB: Greece-Bulgaria interconnection
