In his speech, Mr. Chrisochoidis said that:
I
came here tonight in order to show my deep
respect to the people who achieved distinc-
tion in such a tough period. It is a time for
being silent, and acting. But we must also make a
bet. Both the causes and the results of the eco-
nomic crisis are known. Nonetheless, we must
restore confidence in politics, and tonight I want
to assure you that we will take great pains to
restore the honour and value of politics. I want to
make an appeal for unity to all of you, the repre-
sentatives of the country's business community
who struggle against a harsh reality. Only with
unity and hard effort we will show Europe and the
ACCI
AWARDS 2011
The ceremony for the “ACCI AWARDS 2011”, where the
Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry honoured busi-
nesses and businesspeople that stood out during the previous
year, was held on October 5th, for a 15th consecutive year,
in the presence of representatives of the political world and
many entrepreneurs. The then Minister for Development,
Competitiveness and Shipping, Michalis Chrisochoidis, made a
speech and also presented the awards to the winners.
