Greek exports hit
record high in 2011

ccording to provisional data by the Hellenic
Statistical Authority, total exports, exclud-
ing petroleum products, rose by 9.4%, to
16.01 billion euros. It is worth noting that the total
value of exports, including petroleum products, in
2010 stood at 16.39 billion euros. The cumulative
growth in the value of exports (including petroleum
products) during the period 2009-2011 stands at
52.9%, from 14.68 billion euros to 22.45 billion
euros. Excluding petroleum products, this
increase is limited to 15.17% (from 13.39 billion
euros to 16.01 billion euros). Interestingly, there is
almost total equilibrium between exports to EU
countries (50.6%) and exports to Third Countries
