Prof. Ada Yonath, Nobel Prize in
Chemistry 2009
Ada Yonath is the first woman since Marie Curie
to receive the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
The Israeli researcher decrypted the structure and
function of ribosomes (the cell's protein factories), a
finding of crucial importance for the development of
new generation antibiotics.

Symposium

International Symposium in the memory of
Theodoros Angelopoulos
The Athens Concert Hall had scheduled an event,
featuring a discussion between Theo
Angelopoulos and Wim Wenders on the global
economic and cultural crisis, art and cinema,
along with a showing of his film “Ulysses' Gaze”.
In order to honour the great Greek director, the
Athens Concert Hall has scheduled an interna-
tional symposium in his memory. The symposium
will include a presentation of his movies.
A tribute to the “poet of pictures”, the director that
changed the face of Greek cinema and honoured
Greece all over the world.
